Access to healthcare is a problem for many individuals living in rural communities. For rural people with disabilities, access can be even more limited due to lack of accessible transportation and other environmental barriers. Our research projects examine alternative models for delivering health promotion services to people with disabilities in rural areas by using existing resources and technology and encouraging full use of local services.
