Advocacy & Policy
RTC: Rural identifies and conducts research on emerging national policy issues; monitors and actively participates in policy development in a broad range of disability employment and rural policy issues that influence resource allocation and participation; and targets rural infrastructure issues that hold great promise for disabled people’s careers and participation. We apply a rural disability lens to all policy analyses. We also have developed an array of resources and strategies that consumers can use to become more involved in local community development and in the policy and decision making process.
