Federal TEA-21 and projected SAFETEA-LU funding for selected public transportation programs affecting people with disabilities (figures in millions of dollars). In Fiscal Year 2003, the TEA-21 Section 5307 urbanized area formula funding was $3,596 million. This was 94% of available funding. In Fiscal Year 2006, the SAFETEA-LU Section 5307 urbanized area formula funding was $3,467 million. The SAFETEA-LU Section 5340 urban growing and/or high density states program funding is $324 million. These two programs constitute 89% of available funding. In Fiscal Year 2007, the SAFETEA-LU Section 5307 urbanized area formula funding will be $3,606 million. The SAFETEA-LU Section 5340 urban growing and/or high density states program funding will be $341 million. These two programs are 89% of available funding. In Fiscal Year 2008, the SAFETEA-LU Section 5307 urbanized area formula funding will be $3,911 million. The SAFETEA-LU Section 5340 urban growing and/or high density states program funding will be $370 million. These two programs are 89% of available funding. In Fiscal Year 2009, the SAFETEA-LU Section 5307 urbanized area formula funding will be $4,160 million. The SAFETEA-LU Section 5340 rural growing and/or high density states program funding is $60 million. These two programs constitute 11% of available funding. In Fiscal Year 2007, the SAFETEA-LU Section 5311 non-urbanized area formula funding will be $404 million. The SAFETEA-LU Section 5340 rural growing and/or high density states program funding will be $63 million. These two programs are 11% of available funding. In Fiscal Year 2008, the SAFETEA-LU Section 5311 non-urbanized area formula funding will be $438 million. The SAFETEA-LU Section 5340 rural growing and/or high density states program funding will be $68 million. These two programs are 11% of available funding. In Fiscal Year 2009, the SAFETEA-LU Section 5311 non-urbanized area formula funding will be $465 million. The SAFETEA-LU Section 5340 rural growing and/or high density states program funding will be $73 million. These two programs are 11% of available funding.

In 2003, Section 5310 funding for capital assistance for elderly and people with disabilities funding was $90 million. In 2006, Section 5310 funding for capital assistance for elderly and people with disabilities funding is $112 million. In 2007, Section 5310 funding for capital assistance for elderly and people with disabilities funding is $117 million. In 2008, Section 5310 funding for capital assistance for elderly and people with disabilities funding is $127 million. In 2009, Section 5310 funding for capital assistance for elderly and people with disabilities funding is $136 million.
